After Afghanistan, a red signal from Maldives

A few days back, Maldives inked MoU in power sector, with Pakistan . The Maldives was used to take guidance from India in each policy and decision, but now it is under great influence of China - Pakistan nexus . Pakistan is a helping hand for Economic - Military power China, to expand their influence in Indian Ocean region . The Maldives is an example of it . ….. Maldives delegation visited Pakistan a few days ago and both countries inked MoU in power sector . According to this MoU, Pakistan will help the Maldives with Human training, participation in staff exchange programmes, participation in experience sharing and institution building activities etc . So far, India played ample role in building infrastructure in the Maldives . A message of Short-Lived Ceasefire of Afghanistan

Afghan President Ashraf Ghani on 9 June announced the ceasefire with Taliban. There was a ceasefire for few days and it was a historical relief for Afghanistan. Taliban first time in its history accepted such initiative. But, it ends within a couple of days. It is quite difficult to say, what went wrong? Every element involves in Afghanistan want peace, but it will be with their own conditions. Afghanistan is in a tough of war in between the US and China-Pakistan Factor. The imbalance between these two factors may be the reason behind this failure of the ceasefire. ........... Afghan President Ashraf Ghani announced a ceasefire with Taliban, on 9 June and interestingly Taliban accepted it for the first phase.
