Rishi Sunak is leading the post of Prime Minister in Britain. However, the discussion of a citizen of Indian origin for the post of PM of the UK underlines the growing importance of India's soft power.     Controversial Boris Johnson resigned as Prime Minister of Britain on July 7 and a power struggle began in Britain. The process of selecting the new Prime Minister has reached its final stage. In this, the name of Rishi Sunak, an Indian origin, is at the forefront. As of now, a name for PM will be finalized on Thursday. Hence, there is enthusiasm among the South Asian population, including citizens of Indian origin in Britain.   Riding on the 'Brexit' public sentiment, Boris Johnson became the Prime Minister of Britain. However, during the coronavirus outbreak, cases of partying in government residences came to light, and their popularity began to ebb and flow. After that, Johnson had to resign due to many reasons like increased taxes, and the misbehaviour of a...

Is India Losing Sri Lanka?

The Sri Lankan government recently announced its decision to close diplomatic missions in the three countries in a bid to cut spending on overseas operations. So, we have to keep the pressure on Pakistan, to implement it rigorously. … On 1st of May 1267 Sanction committee of UNSC announced Jaish-e-Mohammad chief Masood Azhar a global terrorist and it was a diplomatic achievement for India. Since 2009, along with India, the USA, France and Britain have been trying for it and China was blocking with Veto power. India got this success, with the help of other nations, just due to keeping the pressure on Pakistan at the economic front and China has now feeling to be isolated at the international forum. But, we have an example of Hafiz Saeed, Chief of Jamaat ud Dawa, who is also a global terrorist and wandering freely on the streets of Lahore. If this success remains symbolic, then Masood Azhar could be...
